March 2019 Public Meetings

The California Department of Parks and Recreation (California State Parks) will be holding two public meetings in late March 2019 in Ridgecrest and Lancaster to discuss the revision of the General Plan for Red Rock Canyon State Park. At these open-house style meetings, the planning team will present preliminary planning concepts for the update to the General Plan and solicit feedback from interested stakeholders and agencies.

Open House #1

  • Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

  • University of Antelope Valley Grand Ballroom, 44055 Sierra Highway, Lancaster, CA 93534

Open House #2

  • Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

  • Historical Society Upper Mojave Desert, 230 W. Ridgecrest Boulevard, Ridgecrest, CA 93555

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit display stations, review materials that describe the draft concepts, ask questions, and provide input. The open houses will be identical in content and format, and materials from the meetings will be available after the meetings are concluded on the project website. There will be no formal presentation.

October 2018 Planning & Scoping Meetings

State Parks held two planning/scoping meetings in October of 2018 for the General Plan Revision and associated Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
